Tis the Season!
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" aired on ABC last night.
It was a staple of my childhood - that once-a-year broadcast before the advent of home video, much like when "The Wizard of Oz" or "The Sound of Music" would come on TV - those few nights we were allowed to stay up a little past our bedtime to watch.
And that music....oh that music!
I remember as a kid being excited all day and couldn't wait to get home from school when "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was coming on TV that night. It was a ringing reminder that Christmas was almost here.
Even after 30-some odd years of viewing, this show gets me every time.
